Andrew Damato (Aezrel) hails from Toronto, Canada. He started playing drums and DJing in high school and later joined The Good Times, a disco-punk band that performed along with bands like The Roots and Alexisonfire at the Vans Warped Tour, and the Cutting Edge Music Festival, among others.

He later began honing his own musical style as a producer and testing his songs as a solo performer and DJ at various underground raves and clubs around Toronto.  Through this scene he met new bandmates and became the lead producer and DJ for the live electronic band HUGSNOTDRUGS.

Between his solo act and his band, he has shared the stage with several world-class artists, such as Adam X, Angel Alanis, Annie Mac, Dj Assault, Bloody Beetroots, Chris Liberator, Crystal Castles, Dave The Drummer, Destructo, Dillon Francis, Downlink, Eric Prydz, Fake Blood, Frankie Bones, Jack Beats, Matt The Alien, Omar Santana, Robert DeLong, Sam Punk, The Stickmen, Thomas Krome, DJ Tron, Uberdruck, UZ, White Ring, and Xxyyxx.

In most recent years Aezrel has earned several credits as a music producer for film, television, and commercials.  He is also continuously growing his list of credits as a producer in Toronto’s Hip Hop scene, while working on several solo electronic music projects.
